THE BIG RED BOOT OWNER, MSCHF SETS TO RELEASE THE SUPER NORMAL 2 MINT EDITION.
MSCHF is set to release the Mint edition of Super Normal 2 with a little and distinctive color upgrade.
MSCHF’s entrance into the footwear industry began with a bang as after their second release of the Satan Shoes in collaboration with Lil Nas X, Nike took the art collective to court over trademark infringement. Not only did Nike take legal action but so did Vans when the Wavy Baby sneakers dropped, however, since these filings took place MSCHF has become a bit more creative with its artistic representation of sneakers and introduced the world to the AF1-like silhouette the Super Normal 2.
After the successful release of the big red boot , MSCHF is set to release the mint edition of super Normal 2 with a little and distinctive color upgrade. The MSCHF Super Normal 2 Mint is set to release through the MSCHF Sneakers App on March 22nd, 2023. Retailing for $170, the pair will launch in men’s sizing.
The shape may be similar to the Super normal 2 Common White Edition which appear like an AF1 while the actual upper leather utilized is what MSCHF calls a “fully liquified” finish. This translates to wavy patterns of seemingly “melted” leather that create sporadic curves as seen on the toebox, eyestays, and midfoot panels. Another hit of branding is seen with MSCHF’s “!!!” logo at the back of the sneaker while the MSCHF design on the heel is rounded out by a mint rubber midsole.
